Dr. Melisa McLendon

Dr. Melisa McLendon graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science from Mississippi State University in 1998 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.

Dr. McLendon practiced shelter medicine prior to moving to the Jackson Metro area in 2004 where she was a small animal practitioner until starting at Brookhaven Animal Hospital in December 2025.

When not working, Dr. McLendon enjoys spending time with her husband, Stacy, and her two children, Lachlan and Ella. She is a music enthusiast and spends a lot of time at music festivals and live music events.
