How often should I de-worm my pet?

Puppies and kittens should be de-wormed as early as 2 and 5 weeks of age and placed on a regular schedule of every 3 weeks until they are at least 15 weeks old. Adult cats and dogs need to be on a consistent schedule as well, but this will vary as to how many pets are in the home. If your pet is on a monthly heartworm prevention, most of the heartworm medicine now takes care of certain types of intestinal worms as well as heartworms.
